A student gets on a public bus. What do he see? What math concept could he apply to what he sees? How does what he see compares to what a student in New York would see or a student in St. Louis? These are questions students will ask throughout the i-Image it project. Through this project, students will become aware of numbers within their city and compare it to other cities. This project will help students become more engaged with numbers and provide them with exposure to the magnitude of their city. Students will be able to explore mathematical concepts within real-world context that is local and relevant to their daily interactions.
