Melinet Ellison is a proud graduate of Chicago Public Schools. She attended CPS kindergarten through 12th grade. She is passionate about urban education as it is a part of her history. She has been teaching in academically disadvantaged schools within CPS since 2009. Melinet enjoys working with students who are underprivileged because she believes that they can escape poverty through education. Her primary career goal is to provide an unique learning experience for each student.
